Great movie - Kate is amazing, but Judy Davis and Hugo Weaving are wonderful. There are certain actors/actresses that you just know that a movie will be great if they are in it. But I hope you read the book first. I really appreciated the movie more by reading the book first, as there is always more depth in the book. It was also fun to watch as the movie was filmed about an hour from here in the Grampians. When it was being filmed, there was a bit of star watch action going on - messages about 'just saw Kate in the main street!' <br />Happy New Year to you all!Tiny Toadstool Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03741553266633373902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2433750605806105609.post-73970838458529538742015-12-14T19:22:50.662+11:002015-12-14T19:22:50.662+11:00I love the brightness of the rug!I love the brightness of the rug!Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01193038259830371385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2433750605806105609.post-70264949032696639982015-11-29T21:50:38.266+11:002015-11-29T21:50:38.266+11:00I do like the contrast of natural earthy things wi...I do like the contrast of natural earthy things with a spot of brightness.Zenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16373747863822737468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2433750605806105609.post-82414552960577642812015-11-29T21:48:55.538+11:002015-11-29T21:48:55.538+11:00Thank you Karen. You've also reminded me that I have one started somewhere in my stash of unfinished projects…..I used old sheets for that one but have made one with old tshirts and another just using stretch fabric that I bought at op shops and cut into long strings. Depending on which way you cut the fabric i.e. across or lengthwise, you'll get the either the front or back showing as it curls up. Not a good explanation but try cutting a small length of stretch fabric both ways, give it a 'pull' and you'll see what I mean. The same last year and the year before. I don't know what it is about rag rugs but everyone seems to be fascinated by them. We actually made the toothbrush rug which is an 'old' way of making them. They end up looking pretty much the same as those that are crocheted though. We used up strips of old fabric for ours and they looked great when finished.
